In the wake of Richard Dawkins' masterpiece
The Ancestor's Tale
(his best work and the most beautiful introduction to evolutionary theory I've come across), my attention has been drawn to an exciting event taking place this summer. In honour of the evolutionary history of all life on Earth, a walk tracing the route, with rendezvous points in the style of Dawkins' work, will take place between 25-26th August in Somerset. This looks like great fun, and a good opportunity to meet like-minded people. I might pop along myself.
You'll find all the information you need here.
In the meantime, don't forget to buy a copy of
The Ancestor's Tale
. You won't regret it!
(US readers, can purchase a copy here)
Richard Dawkins is now our Key note speaker on the Saturday evening - 25th August.
